Arkansas Arts in Education adds Singer/SongwriterIf you are an elementary school teacher or work for a non-profit, you may be happy to know that I've been added to the Arts In Education roster by the Arkansas Arts Council. In the one day songwriting workshops for kids we focus on writing a song together as a group with the goal of completing a song by the end of the workshop. I also do a five day In school residency which will provide a more in depth look at the various processes of songwriting with the goal of individual kids completing their own song. One or more of these songs will be performed on the last day of the residency. This programs provide a unique learning experience and foster creativity and teamwork at your school or public library.
